Zuki is EXTREMELY well behaved, listens to me and my daughter Zoe on a dime, all I have to do is snap my fingers and she stops EVERYTHING...she is great with other people, big and small....gets a kick with playing with other dogs and cats....
My vet was overwhelmed with how healthy Zuki is, he was like "Who and Where is this breeder at....they are doing a GREAT job!!!"....He usually sees  Shar Pei in bad shape...so thank you and keep up the good work...I hope to one day add another one to my family...

I have to share with you that we had to go out of town and put Reba and Blue-our adopted mutly in the kennels for 2 days.  They were a bit hesitant to take Reba, since they had had trouble with Shar Pei's before being mean and hard to handle.  Our vet vouched for her and they took her.  I was a bit shocked and they told me after they met Reba that she was the most awesome Pei they had met-the same thing my vet said.  Since we have raised them and ours were always friendly and sociable we were confused.  I gave them your web site and told them I would not hesitate to refer folks to you all. When we came to pick up Reba and Blue she had the whole run of the office and was having a great time greeting everyone that came in and their pets.  (In other words she took over the kennel:)  She had been bathed and groomed and had her toenails clipped and was quite happy that she had her a few days at the spa.  Needless to say she is welcome any time.                                   Ann & Tom - Texas 

Zoe is doing great.  We couldn't imagine our family without her.  She's very, very cute.  She gets a lot of attention wherever she goes.  Everyone who meets her, loves her. She's very good for a puppy.    At all of her check-ups, the vet has said she is very healthy and has no problems. She loves to play with our Airedale, Ransom.  He's so gentle that she gets the best of him a lot. She also loves to go out in the back yard and brings in small rocks, pieces of bark, twigs and the figs that have dropped off the neighbor's trees.  Zoe is also very affectionate and follows me around in the house.  It's really hard to put into words how special she is.  Thanks again for bringing her into this world and into our lives.

Hi Sarah, just checking in, hope you are well. I named Lathan after a Philadelphia restaurant, Zanzabar blue, what a great dog, everyone comes up to us and starts petting him, they think he's a bear and want to snuggle with him. He stays by my side and sits next to me in the car very quietly. He is adjusting very well to his new home. I take him with me a lot in the car, he sits next to me in the passenger seat and quietly waits for me. He is quite laid back and has a great appetite. He's learning words like treats and potty time, he is fine with the cats too. All is going very well and I will give him hugs for you. I  bought him leashes collars and a tag along with many treats and toys. he gets so much attention when we go out, some people think he is a chow, they have never seen a bear coat before. He is a great puppy, I look forward to many happy years with him. I will stay in touch, hope all is well I think he likes his new home. I will be sending pictures soon! Take  care.

Sarah, "Patty" is our Mabel.  Mabel will be two in October.  She is a bundle of energy and love.  She is full of love.  She can't wait to snuggle up with us, or crawl onto our chests when we are sleeping at night.  She is an escape artist, and has learned how to open her crate, as well as, the gate in the backyard.  We love her to pieces.  She loves us.  Mabel gets along fabulously with her brother Finnley.  He is four and might not always be fond of her energy.  Mabel is great with people, and kids.  She is not good with strange dogs.  She seems to think she is a cat.  We love her immensely and thank you for that.  Feel free to contact us with any other questions you might have.  I enclosed several pictures of her.

Sarah and David, I just wanted to thank you again for your help during the entire process of adopting Enzo (Kwang Tung Alan). Your willingness to take the time to talk with me even before I decided to adopt one of your pup really meant a lot, and showed me just how dedicated you were to ensuring the health and happiness of your Pei.
Enzo is just an awesome little dog. He is just the perfect looking little Pei and by far the cutest pup I've ever seen (not that I'm biased or anything :) I've sent his pictures to just about everyone I know and they all agree that he is a beauty! He has such a sweet and mellow temperament and is a ball to have around. So far, I've been able to spend just about all of my time at home since he arrived. When I've had to leave the house, even for just an hour, I can't wait to get back home to see and play with him.
Everything you told me to expect with regard to his personality was spot on. he's a very loyal and loving little guy. But at the same time extremely calm and likes to have his own space. A friend of mine stopped over the other day (just a few days after picking him up from the airport) and as soon as she walked in the door he sat down right next to me and would not leave my side. he barked when she walked in and then just would not leave my side. He's already becoming my little protector.
Crate training and housebreaking are going well. He's had surprisingly few accidents in the house. He's already learned to sit. I think part of the ease in training him is due to his love of food! he sure does love to eat! I think he goes out to use the bathroom, sits for me, etc., just to get a little treat! In fact, he sometimes fakes peeing!! :) He'll lean forward as if he were urinating and then kind of looks up to me to see if I''' fall for it and give him a treat! He does something everyday to make me laugh. What a personality he has! I'll keep you updated as he grows, but just wanted to let you know he's doing well and I just love him to pieces. if you need a recommendation from me in the future, please do not hesitate to ask! The process from start to finish went so smoothly and I really appreciated all your efforts in ensuring I was knowledgeable and prepared to own a Pei and all the efforts you made to get my boy to me safe and sound! I've heard repeatedly that they key to ensuring a Pei will be healthy and happy is choosing a reputable and respected breeder. Your excellence as breeders is evidenced every time I interact with little Enzo. He is the poster-puppy for happy and healthy! Hi Sarah, Heather is doing great! She is full of energy. She LOVES playing with your "squeaky ball". It looks like a miniature basketball. Hi Sarah, all is well here. Zanzabar has made himself very much at home. He goes to wok with me most of the time. Or he stays home on his new dog bed chewing on his treats and toys, which he loves dearly. He is very funny with his food, he eats slow, and sometimes thinks his dry food is a toy. He is so funny to watch. He is a very loving dog. When he goes out with me, people always ask what kind of dog he is. They all think he's a big teddy bear and want to hug him. "Crystal Blue" has the most gorgeous healthy, unshaded solid blue coat we have ever seen. her temperament is gentle and loving. It's difficult to express just how much having Tarquin in mine and Ryan's life has truly changed us. Most of the time you consider that having a baby is starting a family but when we got Tarquin he was better that just that; He was like getting a son without all the labor pains. I feel that our marriage has strengthened a lot this past week and a half and Tarquin is who we have to thank for that. Ryan and I truly have worked together to bring up Tarquin in the right manner and make him feel welcomed and loved in his new family. The first time I saw him I knew he was exactly what God has intended for us. he is the joy of the family, he keeps us on our toes and entertained at all times, and he has a personality like none other that I have ever seen before. Tarquin has truly inspired me and taught us the beginning steps to one day having a child. Having a puppy is no easy task but we have enjoyed every waking moment that we spend with him and we truly enjoy his company and love. I feel that we are blessed and that we could not have made a better decision in picking a puppy. His personality just goes hand in hand with ours. Ryan is the mischievous type and Tarquin takes after his daddy in that manner and I on the other hand am the loving and affectionate one which is the other side that Tarquin has. He loves to chase the cats and bite our hands but he is always willing to make it all better just like his mommy. We could never express just how thankful we are for having Tarquin n our lives and we know that he will bring is many memories and fun times throughout the years.

Yes, Yes, yes, I would recommend Sarah and David as breeders. We have purchased a blue shar-pei female (miniature) from them and she is just wonderful! She is really really sweet and she is so smart. She was already housebroken when we got her at 8 weeks. And Sarah has been there to answer any and all my questions diligently. You couldn’t ask for better breeders, as far as I'm concerned. And I will only purchase my shar-pei from them. I, too, am interested in purchasing a Flowered pei, however, I want to devote my time to Sushi, for a little while longer. She is so spoiled, but she really is devoted to all of us. She is bright, alert, and playful. All of the children love her, and she really loves children. She can hardly wait until my grandson gets home from school. He's 12 and he just feels so lucky to have her. She goes everywhere with us, and she is just the right size, not too big, not too small. Hello. I just have to say that I would highly recommend Sarah Gonzalez's Shar-Pei. I bought one from her almost two years ago, and my Lunchbox is the best behaved, lovable, sweetest dog there ever was. Sarah has an excellent breeding program. My puppy was already housebroken we I picked him up, and she does an excellent job socializing her dogs also. I would use no other breeder besides her. We are in love with the Shar-Pei breed. After we got our first we were hooked. Divine (aka Trixie) is from Sarah. We were nervous about buying a dog over the Internet and having the dog flown to Philadelphia. I first called the Gonzalez's and talked to Sarah, who was very helpful and put a lot of our fears to rest. She kept in touch throughout the entire process. Just a note to let you know how pleased we are with Bruno! He's an absolute joy. He moved right in and took charge. We have had very little trouble with potty training and he is exceedingly smart. He is also very hard headed but we are working on that. The Vet said he is very healthy and was going to be a good, strong dog. He's making good progress with his obedience training. Helen is doing great with him and he's already stolen her heart. Bruno is happy and well adjusted as far as we can tell and does just about anything he wants to. I would like to say thank you to Sarah and David Gonzalez for giving us a chance to make Corey and Onyx members of our family. We have had great communications and they have kept in touch with us all the way. We run a daycare and these two beautiful Shar-Pei have been really good around the children. With the daycare, we have several people in and out. The dogs have been just great! From this we can see David and Sarah have done a wonderful job of socializing them. I fell in love with the Shar-Pei a long time ago and when I saw pictures of Corey and Onyx, I just had to have them. Sarah talked to me quite frequently and they did a great job of setting everything up for the flight here. We live in Iowa so it was quite the trip. I wanted to update you on Mei Lei - we are so proud! Saturday she graduated from petSmart obedience classes! I know it's not points toward a major or anything - but we're happy as clams! She is still sweet as pie - the vet and her assistants love her. Even the petsmart's Instructor's opinion was changed by mei Lei's purple tongue kisses! This is not, of course to say that she's not a stubborn, headstrong girl - but she knows who's really boss LOL She continues to be our little dream baby. We can't thank you enough!

You were just as leery sending your pride and joy to someone you didn't even know, as I was receiving from people I had no idea about. Sarah and I emailed each other numerous times setting up all of the arrangements. She sounded so in love with her dogs. Therefore, I knew that my puppy would be a well taken care of animal. I was also very pleased with how you arranged the flight, crate, health certificate, and all the other things it took to get China to us. I can't express to you enough the joy on our (my son and I's) faces the moment we were able to hold her and touch her for the first time. We have absolutely fallen in love with her. China has literally flown into our hearts. We take her with us to the park, or to our family's houses. She is a very social puppy, and especially good with children. We all fight over who China gets to sleep with each night, just for your information I always win ha ha ha.  She has been so easy to train things to. If you are considering owning and raising a Chinese Shar-Pei, I would like to share with you my personal experience of getting a puppy from David and Sarah Gonzalez. As a starter, I have no words to describe the love and devotion she has to her dogs, so much that she takes personal care of all the little details to make sure that you get your puppy in top health and "mental" condition. As an example, in our case there was a need to fly our puppy from New Mexico to California, and Sarah and David took the puppy to the airport at 2 AM to make sure that they can be with him until he got on the plane. The administrative part was also perfect, and Sarah took care of all of the shots, papers, chipping, registration, etc. and even took care of buying the right kennel for shipment.  The puppy we got was perfect, beautiful coat, wrinkles, and perfect bite. We also got all the paperwork, pedigrees, and family tree with champion lines. I strongly recommend it, if you are serious about getting an excellent puppy from a qualified breeder. Our puppy, Chief, is now 8 months old. He has a very good temper and is lively and very smart. He was housetrained when we got him, and was very easy to train. We wanted to get a Shar-Pei because we have always thought they were really cute, and we were not wrong. When we moved to the US we could not bring with us the two dogs we had, so after a while here we decided to get a new dog. Looking for Shar-Pei over the internet we came across Sarah and David and they are just wonderful. Sometimes it is difficult to trust someone over the Internet because you do not even know who you are talking to, but they were always very straight sand honest telling us everything that was happening and patiently answering all of our questions. All the payments were clearly specified and since the beginning we knew what was going on, which gave me a great sense of confidence and trust. After we arranged everything we finally got our new family member, Bori, he is a chocolate dilute male. Today Bori is much bigger and brings happiness to all of my family. His character is the best we could ask for. Since he got here he is always cheering up everyone and its our little "baby", the whole neighborhood loves him. He is very quiet. Sarah sent me pictures of him and she was always sending me information of whatever was needed, I am very grateful to Sarah and David because they were just great with myself and my family. I certainly will recommend Sarah and David to anyone who is thinking of buying a shar-pei, since the first time I talked to Sarah I knew that she loved her dogs and that she was the best way to get a good dog. Zanzabar is an awesome dog. He is very protective of me but at the same time he will give strangers kisses too. He does not have a mean bone in his body. But he likes to play macho. He loves to play ball and enjoys people and other pets. He is not crazy about baths, but I never met a shar-pei who was. He likes to be brushed and lounge in the yard. And he always wants to go for a ride. Zanzabar thinks everything is a toy, particularly baby carrots! I cook fish for him to keep his coat beautiful. He is pretty spoiled. He has no health problems. He still looks like a bog teddy bear, so adorable. I hope you are able to keep in touch with the other pups as well. I am sure his brother is just as good natured as he is.
